Shamir Virgo

Shamir Virgo is an independent recording artist and the 2021 winner of the Fraser Valley BIMPOC Music Awards (Black, Indigenous, Multiracial, People(s) of Color). He has been involved in music since childhood, beginning with singing in church. Part of his post-secondary music training took place at Douglas College. Today, his music can be found on all major streaming platforms and has surpassed one million streams on Spotify.

 

Shamir has collaborated with numerous producers and musicians across the Fraser Valley and Vancouver. He is particularly interested in exploring the full potential of the human voice through his work. As an educator, he is passionate about helping voice students discover and develop their gifts, striving to inspire them on their musical journey.
